Running a Regulated Capital Raise as a Funnel
Wealth ManagementLeading a regulated equity crowdfunding round end to end, instrumented and A/B tested like a growth funnel rather than run as a passive listing.

Overview
A US wealth-management firm needed to raise capital from retail investors through a regulated equity crowdfunding round, with no in-house fundraising machine and months of compliance work standing between it and a live campaign. Canvas Labs Partners led the round end to end: portal onboarding, compliance, the campaign page, and a growth-funnel approach to acquisition that outperformed hundreds of competing campaigns.

Challenge
A regulated capital raise is not a passive listing: the money only arrives if someone builds an audience, converts it, and keeps the campaign visible for the months it runs. The firm needed the capital and had no in-house fundraising machine, and the round had to compete for attention against several hundred other active crowdfunding campaigns running at the same time, inside a fixed, published deadline.
Solution
Canvas Labs Partners signed the firm up with a registered funding portal and managed that relationship directly, running the compliance work a regulated raise requires before anything could go live. An external growth agency ran the paid acquisition, briefed and coordinated throughout rather than left to run the raise on its own.
Canvas Labs Partners contributed to the campaign page itself, design and sales copy, shaping how the pitch read to a prospective investor landing on it cold. The round ran under a fixed deadline and a hard regulatory ceiling, so the page had to convert from day one rather than build an audience slowly.
What ran underneath was a conversion funnel, not a listing left to run itself: landing pages were A/B tested, and the whole path was instrumented with UTM tracking, measuring traffic in, conversion, and where a prospective investor dropped out. That discipline is what let the campaign outperform the broader Reg CF market for months at a time, not just one strong week.
Results & benefits
The round closed successfully, raising nearly $600,000 from more than 120 retail investors, roughly eight times the regulatory minimum it needed to clear. Against several hundred other active Reg CF campaigns running at the same time, it ranked in the top 5 percent nationally for three consecutive months, at one point raising several times the market's average deal for that month. The close month looked weaker only because the round ended partway through it: measured per day rather than per month, momentum held all the way to the final week rather than tailing off.

About us
Canvas Labs Partners is a software consulting team that designs and ships production agentic AI systems: multi-agent pipelines, tool-calling architectures, and human-governed automation, together with the trading infrastructure, blockchain, mobile, and product engineering those agents plug into. We publish our work as a case ledger rather than a portfolio, so every claim on this site links to the engagement behind it. Engagements follow the same four-step discipline, Map, Bound, Instrument and Govern, whatever the stack, and every entry in the ledger carries a result we are willing to be measured against.
Delivered individually, in a prior role, by one of Canvas Labs Partners’ founding team members. Not by the firm itself.
